CocoRosie is a musical group playing experimental folk or freak folk formed in 2003. The group was founded by two sisters Sierra and Bianca Casady. The name of the band comes from their monikers “Coco” and “Rosie”. Their music incorporates many different elements from such genres like pop, hip hop, opera, blues, electronic etc. Originally, the band composed of the sisters only. Sierra was on guitar, piano and harp, while Bianca was a vocalist and used different unusual noise makers like children toys for example and percussive instruments. Later, the band recruited backing musicians who support the sisters during their live shows. The sisters are of American origin, however, the band was founded in Paris. The debut album La maison de mon rêve was released in 2004 through the independent label Touch and Go Records. You can download CocoRosie’s debut album in mp3 from our site.
