American rock and roll guitarist, singer and songwriter Chuck Berry (birth name Charles Edward "Chuck" Berry) was born on October 18, 1926, in St. Louis, Missouri, USA. He began moonlighting as a guitarist for various bands in St. Louis as an extra source of income. And now, he is one of the pioneers of rock and roll music. He was among the first musicians to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on its opening in 1986. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame included three of Chuck Berry's songs ("Johnny B. Goode", "Maybellene", "Rock and Roll Music"), of the 500 songs that shaped Rock and Roll.
