Celestia is a French black metal band formed in Avignon, France in 1995. The band currently composes of Noktu Geiistmortt (vocals, guitar, bass) and of Ghaast (guitar). The band was formed by Noktu and he is the main creative force of the band. During the band’s history, the line-up was changing. They were in underground for some time releasing only demos. The debut EP “A Cave Full of Bats” was released in 1999 through Dakkar Productions. The band’s line-up at that timed consisted of Noktu (vocals, bass) and Fureïss/Franck (guitar). The debut album "Apparitia - Sumptuous Spectre" came out in 2002 and was released by Full Moon Productions. The band added drummer Astreyla and live bassist Neige. The second band’s album is "Frigidiis Apotheosia : Abstinencia Genesiis". It was released in 2008 and featured Astreyla as well.
