Cannibal Corpse is an American death metal band that was formed in Buffalo, New York, the United States in 1988. The current band’s line-up composes of Alex Webster (bass), Paul Mazurkiewicz (drums, percussion), Rob Barrett (guitars), George "Corpsegrinder" Fisher (lead vocals), and of Pat O'Brien (guitars). The band has become the best-selling death metal band ever. Their music is heavily inspired by other bands like Slayer, Kreator, Sodom and Death. The lyrics is based on horror films and horror fiction making the band a controversial one. Several countries even banned the band from performing within their borders.
