Grammy Award-winning American R&B, soul and new jack swing band Boyz II Men from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was formed in 1988. The band comprises Nathan Morris, Shawn Stockman and Wanya Morris. Originally this band performed under the name Unique Attraction and was founded by two friends Nathan Morris and Marc Nelson. During this time, they also formed several R&B and soul bands. All these groups were ended very soon. Later, they recruited Wanya Morris, Shawn Stockman and Michael McCary. They found their inspiration in New Edition's harmonies and routines, and later decided to change the band's name. In 1994, they released their breakthrough album, II, which produced two number one singles "I'll Make Love To You" and "On Bended Knee". The album debuted at number one in the Billboard 200.
