Robert McFerrin Jr., better known as Bobby McFerrin was born on March 11, 1950 in Manhattan, New York. He is an American jazz and reggae singer-songwriter, conductor, musician and producer. McFerrin is known best of all for his crossover hit single “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”. The song was a number one hit in the United States in 1988. It earned him three Grammy Awards for Song of the year, Best Pop Vocal Performance, male, and Record of the year. The hit-singles features his album Simple Pleasures.
