Scottish electronic, ambient and hip hop band Boards of Canada comes from Edinburgh, Scotland. The band comprises two members - Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin. They have released five studio albums. The most successful their album is Geogaddi, released in 2002. The album was critically acclaimed and many of the music professional media gave positive reviews, for example Allmusic gave 4,5 points, Pitchfork Media gave 8,6, Tiny Mix Tapes ranked it with 4,5, Rolling Stone named it “favorable”. The album was released through Warp Record with little support from the media and with almost no promotion. However, it reached number 21 on the UK albums chart and has become the best-selling band’s album. You can download this album by Boards of Canada in mp3 from our site. The band’s music is very popular, i.e. BBC and Channel 4 often use it for their documentaries.
