Blue Scholars are a hip hop duo formed in Seattle, Washington, the United States in 2002. The duo composes of Geologic and Sabzi. Geologic is an MC, birth name George Quibuyen and Sabzi is a DJ, birth name Alexei Saba Mohajerjasbi. The duo was created in the time when both members were in the Student Hip Hop Organization of Washington. Their moniker refers to the term “blue collar” which means the workers who earn hourly wages for manual work. During their career, they have released three studio albums and four extended plays. The debut self-titled album was released in 2004. It is a self-released album. The album was noticed and was voted as the Best Album 2004 by the readers of Seattle Weekly.
