Blackmore’s Night is an American and British folk and neo-medieval band formed in 1997. The band was formed by Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple) - guitars, mandolin, domra, hurdy gurdy and by Candice Night - vocals, chanter, cornamuse, shawm, rauschpfeife, tambourine. They are the creative force and leaders of the band. Other musicians are Bard David of Larchmont – keyboards, Squire Malcolm of Lumley (Malcolm Dick) – drums, Gypsy Rose (Elizabeth Cary) – Violin and Earl Grey of Chamay (Mike Clemente) - Bass, mandolin and guitar. The band has released seven studio albums, two live albums, three compilation ones and eight singles. The band has reached some success especially in Europe and their albums charted in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Finland and in some other countries.
