Billy Talent is a Canadian punk rock band formed in 1993 in Streetsville, Ontario, Canada. The band was formed under the name Pezz but later they had to change it as there was already a group with the same name. However the band released their debut album “Watoosh!” as Pezz. The band members are Benjamin Kowalewicz (lead vocals), Ian D'Sa (lead guitar and backing vocals), Jonathan Gallant (bass and backing vocalist) and Aaron Solowoniuk (drums and persussion). The band was for about a decade on the underground Toronto scene and gained the mainstream success only in 2003 releasing their second album Billy Talent. They met record executives and signed a deal with Warner Music Canada and with Atlantic Records.
