William Martin Joel (known as Billy Joel) was born on May 9, 1949 in Bronx, New York, US. He’s an American singer-song writer, rock musician and composer. Joel is one of the most popular artists in the US. According to the RIAA he’s the sixth best-selling artist in America. He has 5 Grammy Awards including such prestigious nominations as Album of the Year and Song of the Year. He’s inducted in the Songwriter’s Hall of Fame and in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
