Big Country was a rock band formed in Dunfermline, Fife, Scotland in 1981. The band was founded by Stuart Adamson (vocals/guitar/keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar/mandolin/sitar/vocals), Tony Butler (bass guitar/vocals) and Mark Brzezicki (drums/percussion/vocals). The final band’s line-up almost has not been changed except for the absence of Stuart Adamson who had committed suicide. During its career, the band has released 8 studio albums, one extended play and 25 singles. The debut album The Crossing was released in 1983. It became the best-selling in the band’s history as the album received Gold certifications in both UK and US. The follow up album Steeltown was certified Gold in the UK and reached number 1 on the UK Albums chart. The most popular band’s song is considered to be “Look Away”.
