Irish country and rock music harmony band Bachelors from Dublin was founded in 1957. The group's current line-up consists of Conleth (Con) Cluskey, Declan (Dec) Cluskey and John Stokes. They came to prominence in the early 1960s with their collection of hit singles such as "Faraway Places", "Charmaine", "Long Time Ago", "Diane", "I Believe" and many others. "Diane" became the band's best-selling single when it reached number one on the UK Singles charts. During that time, they toured throughout not only UK but also throughout Europe and the US. In the middle 1960s, they released their number one album, The Bachelors' Hits, which received gold certification in the UK.
