Biography: Asleep at the Wheel is an American country and Western Swing band formed in 1969 in Paw Paw, West Virginia. Currently, the band is based in Austin, Texas. The band was founded by Ray Benson and Lucky Oceans. The current members are Ray Benson, Elizabeth McQueen, David Earl Miller, Eddie Rivers, Jason Roberts, David Sanger and Dan Walton. The band quickly rose to fame and at the beginning of their career, they opened for Alice Cooper. Later they were noticed by Van Morrison and Willie Nelson. During their career, they created a very rich discography. Some of their biggest hits are "Choo Choo Ch'Boogie", "The Letter That Johnny Walker Read", "House of Blue Lights", "Hot Rod Lincoln", and many others.
