Biography: The Cranberries are an Irish rock band formed in Limerick, Ireland in 1989. The band founders are brothers Noel and Mike Hogans and drummer Fergal Lowler. Originally, the band was called The Cranberries Show Us but it was changed by the vocalist Dolores O’Riordan. She was recruited by the band a bit later when they decided to have female vocals. The band reached the mainstream success very quickly after the release of their debut album Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We? The album became a great commercial achievement and was certified 5 x Platinum in the US and Platinum in the UK and in Canada. The next album No Need to Argue has become the best-selling album in Cranberries discography surpassing the debut one. The album spawned a hit single number one “Zombie” (France, Germany, Australia).
