American smooth jazz and adult contemporary composer and songwriter Kenny G (birth name Kenneth Bruce Gorelick) was born on June 5, 1956, in Seattle, Washington, U.S. He is well known for a collaboration with various artists such as Andrea Bocelli, Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince, Natalie Cole, Dudley Moore, Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin. He began his music career as a member of Barry White's Love Unlimited Orchestra in the early 1970s. In 1982, he signed to Arista Records. At the same year, he released his self-titled debut album, which received critical acclaim and was certified gold in the US. In 1992, he released his most successful album, Breathless, which has been certified platinum twelve times.
