American pop, R&B, soul, adult contemporary and urban band 98 Degrees (or simply 98°) from Los Angeles, California, was formed in 1997. The band comprises brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre, and Jeff Timmons. They quickly gained popularity in the late 1990s with their self-titled debut album, which produced two singles such as "Invisible Man" and "Was It Something I Didn't Say". It also reached number 145 on the Billboard 200. Their following album, 98 Degrees and Rising, was released in 1998. It became the band's most commercially successful album and it has been platinum four times in the US. This album yielded the hits, "I Do (Cherish You)", "Because of You" and "The Hardest Thing". In 2003, they released their first compilation album, The Collection, which contained the band's most popular singles and a new one smash Mariah Carey hit "Thank God I Found You".
