Biography: Aimee Mann is an American rock and folk singer-songwriter born on September 8, 1960 in Richmond, Virginia, the United States. At the eve of her career, she was working with The Young Snakes and ‘Til Tuesday and after that decided to embark on solo career. She has released 6 studio albums, 1 live album, 1 compilation album and 7 singles. The debut album Whatever was released in 1993 and the last one @#%&*! Smilers came out in 2008. She was releasing her albums but couldn’t breakthrough due to problems with record labels and modest sales. She gained the audience attention in 1999 when she contributed to the soundtrack of Magnolia movie. The hit song “Save Me” was nominated for Academy Award and for Grammy Award.
