Jars of Clay is an American Christian rock music band based in Franklin, Tennessee, the United States but the band was formed at Greenville College, Greenville, Illinois, the U.S. in 1993. The band’s lineup consists of Dan Haseltine (vocals, percussion, melodica), Stephen Mason (guitar, vocals, bass, lap and pedal steel, national, mandolin, background vocals), Matthew Odmark (acoustic guitar, banjo, background vocals) and of Charlie Lowell (piano, organ, accordion, keys, background vocals). During its career the band has released ten studio albums and the most commercially successful one was their debut album Jars of Clay released in 1995.
