| Biography: |
English alternative rock and indie rock band Arctic Monkeys from High Green, a suburb of Sheffield, was formed in 2002. The band comprises Alex Turner (lead vocals, guitar), Jamie Cook (guitar), Nick O'Malley (bass guitar, backing vocals) and Matt Helders (drums, backing vocals). The influence of classic British bands such as The Beatles, The Clash, The Smiths and Oasis have shaped the foundations for the Arctic Monkeys as a group, however their desire to progress with their sound and Alex Turner's eclectic taste and love for 60's music has provided the group with many different influences to each album. The band quickly gained popularity with its debut album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not (2006), which has gone quadruple platinum in the UK, and won the 2006 Mercury Prize. It also yielded the hit singles, "I Bet You Look Good on the Dancefloor" and "When the Sun Goes Down". And now, you may download this album by Arctic Monkeys in mp3 from our site.
