Scottish pop, rock and blue-eyed soul musician and recording artist Annie Lennox was born on 25 December 1954, in Aberdeen, Scotland. At the age of seven, she began playing the piano. She also was interested in singing, and was heavily influenced by The Beatles. In the mid-1970, she moved to London where she studied classical music and flute. She quickly gained popularity in the early 1990s with her breakthrough debut album, Diva, which was certified platinum four times in the UK and two times in the US. It also produced the hit singles such as "Why", "Walking on Broken Glass", "Precious", "Little Bird", "Keep Young and Beautiful" and "Cold".
