Howard Andrew Williams, better known as Andy Williams, was born on December on December 3, 1927 in Wall Lake, Iowa, the United States. He is one of the most popular and famous singers of his era and was named “national treasure” by President Ronald Reagan. Williams began his successful career in the late 1930s with his brothers Bob, Don and Dick. Together they formed the Williams Brothers quartet and gained significant popularity. Later Andy decided to pursue a solo career. During his solo career, his songs charted quite high but only once, he was on the top of the Billboard. That was the song “Butterfly” released in 1957. Some other of his hit singles are "I Like Your Kind Of Love" (with Peggy Powers), "Lonely Street", "Are You Sincere" and others.
