Anastacia Lyn Newkirk, better known as Anastacia was born in Chicago, Illinois, the United States on September 17, 1968. She is an American pop, dance, rock, R&B and soul singer-songwriter gained quite a big popularity in many parts of the world except the US. Despite this fact she sold about 20 million copies of her albums. During her career, she has released four studio albums, one compilation albums and 18 singles. The debut album Not That Kind which was released in 2000 entered the charts in many countries. It reached number one in the Netherlands, Switzerland, Norway and entered the top 5 in the UK, Australia, Germany and other countries. She continued her success with following albums Freak of Nature and Anastacia. Anastacia was certified 4 x Platinum in the UK.
