| Biography: |
Alphaville is a German synthpop group formed in Münster, Germany in 1982. The group was founded by Marian Gold and Bernhard Lloyd when they met each other at Nelson Community (project intended to united different artistic people). Frank Mertens joined them later that year. The band released their debut album Forever Young that would become their most successful record. The album reached number one in such countries like Norway, Sweden and Switzerland, charting also in Austria, Germany, Italy and in the US. The album spawned two hit singles “Big in Japan” and “Forever Young” which made the group popular all around the world. The next releases couldn’t repeat the same success, though some singles appeared on charts, but most of them failed. The band has released six studio albums and the last one CrazyShow came out in 2003. You can download the debut album by Alphaville in mp3 from our site.
