Biography: Alison Krauss is an American bluegrass-country singer and fiddler born on July 23, 1971 in Decatur, Illinois, the US. During her long career she has released 11 studio albums, appeared on numerous soundtracks and revived the interest to the bluegrass music in the US. She’s the most popular for her Grammy-winning soundtrack “O Brother, Where Art Thou?” and for Cold Mountain soundtrack. In total she earned 26 Grammy Awards including such prestigious categories like Album of the Year and Best Song of the Year. This made her to be the most awarded female artist in the Grammy history. Alison collaborated with various musicians and her last album is a collaborative project with Robert Plant (lead singer in Led Zeppelin).
