Vincent Damon Furnier, better known as Alice Copper was born on February 4, 1948 in Detroit, Michigan, the United States. He’s an American rock singer, songwriter actor and DJ. During his long career he covered such genres as rock, hard rock, heavy metal and shock rock. He’s famous for his outstanding and shocking live shows which feature guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, and baby dolls. His imagery was taken from horror movies and vaudeville and all his stage performances and all his activity was created and designed for shocking the public. Originally Alice Cooper was a band featuring Furnier on vocals and harmonica. The band reached the mainstream success in 1971 with their hit single I’m Eighteen from their album Love It to Death. The Rolling Stone Album Guide labeled him as the world’s most “beloved heavy metal entertainer”.
