American alternative rock and hardcore punk band AFI from Ukiah, California, was formed in 1991. The band comprises Davey Havok, Adam Carson, Hunter Burgan and Jade Puget. They achieved their break with the album, Sing the Sorrow, which yielded the hit singles, "The Leaving Song Pt. II", "Silver and Cold" and "Girl's Not Grey". The album's single, "The Leaving Song Pt. II", was featured in Madden NFL 2004. "Girl's Not Grey" video won an MTV Video Music Award for Best MTV2 Video in 2003. This song is also playable in the video game Rock Band 2. Sing the Sorrow was also ranked number 77 on the October 2006 issue of Guitar World magazine's "List of the 100 Greatest Guitar Albums of All Time".
