Adam Mitchel Lambert, better known as just Adam Lambert is an American pop, alternative rock singer-songwriter and actor born on January 29, 1982 in Indianapolis, Indiana, the United States. He rose to fame in 2009 being the runner-up of 8th season of American Idol. Lambert is of Jewish descent and according to him, he is gay. Among his influences, he cites Michael Jackson, Madonna, Queen, and Led Zeppelin among others. During participating in the Idol, he performed the following songs – Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, Believe by Cher, Black of White by Michael Jackson, One by U2, Cryin’ by Aerosmith and some others. He decided to continue his music career after American Idol and embarked on working on his debut solo album. The album For Entertainment was released in November 2009.
