| Biography: |
801 (sometimes referred as The 801) was an English experimental rock and art-rock band formed in 1976 and disbanded in 1977. The band members were Phil Manzanera (guitars, ex-Roxy Music), Brian Eno (keayboards, synthesizers, guitar and vocals, ex-Roxy Music), Bill MacCormick (bass and vocals, ex-Quiet Sun and Matching Mole), Francis Monkman (Fender Rhodes piano and clavinet, ex-Curved air), Simon Phillips (drums and rhythm generator) and Lloyd Watson (slide-guitar and vocals). During its very short active period the band has released 801 Live LP which got the cult status especially in Australia and made a revolution in recording of live concerts. You can download this album by 801 in mp3 from our site. 801 Live didn’t receive any commercial radio play, it wasn’t promoted by videos, but anyway it became the highest selling foreign album in Australia.
